About SD Price Hub
Who publishes this site?
North County Backyard Cost Guide is part of SD Price Hub, an independent, data-driven network of free San Diego home-service price guides. We are not a contractor and do not sell or install anything. Figures come from public City of San Diego permit records and cited published price lists.
What makes our numbers trustworthy?
- Public records first. Permit figures come from the City of San Diego's open data portal and contractor facts from the California CSLB license file.
- Every number is sourced. Each page names its source and date. See our methodology.
- Open data. The summary tables behind our pages are downloadable as CSV.
- No fake reviews or ratings. We do not publish star ratings, testimonials or made-up experts.
- Limits stated plainly. Small samples and what a figure does not include are labeled on the page.
Is SD Price Hub independent?
Yes. No contractor pays to change our numbers or rankings. The guides are free. If you choose to fill in a quote form and give consent, we may pass your request to up to 3 licensed local pros. You never have to hire anyone. See our privacy policy and terms.
How do we keep pages current?
We refresh permit data from the City's portal and re-check cited price lists, then update the "Last updated" date on each page. Current data covers permits issued January 1 to October 15, 2026.
